Nicola Weldon

Registered Care Manager

Registered Care Manager

With 16 years of experience in homecare, I have supported individuals with varying needs, from minimal assistance to complex health conditions. I strive to enhance my skills and hold a City & Guilds Diploma Level 5 in Health & Social Care Management. Registered with the Care Quality Commission and a member of the Homecare Association, I am committed to treating everyone with kindness, dignity, and respect.

Outside of work, I enjoy running, gym activities, and spending time with my pets, family, and friends. I also have a passion for jigsaw puzzles.

For over seven years, I have been part of the Norfolk Shared Lives Scheme, supporting adults with learning disabilities, which complements my dedication to providing compassionate, person-centred care.

Community Carer

After 15 years in the private business world, I discovered my passion for the care sector when I began supporting a young adult with learning disabilities.
This unexpected opportunity revealed that care is not just a job but a calling.

Working with Acorn 2 Oak Care has been incredibly rewarding, allowing me to gain valuable experience and qualifications while deepening my empathy and understanding of the daily challenges people face.
Being part of this team has helped me grow both professionally and personally, and I feel privileged to contribute to the well-being of those we care for.

In my personal life, I balance the roles of mum, wife, and house-keeper. Despite the busy days, I wouldn’t change a thing about my life. The satisfaction of supporting my family and the individuals I care for brings me immense fulfilment.

I joined Acorn 2 Oak Care at the start of 2024. While I’m relatively new to the professional care sector, I have plenty of personal experience.

My dad and step-mum support adults with learning disabilities through the PSS shared lives scheme, and I’ve spent a lot of time socializing with people of all abilities and ages. Seeing firsthand the positive impact of good care inspired me to enter this field. I’m dedicated to making a difference and always try to bring a smile to everyone’s face.

In my spare time, you might see me running around Wymondham with

the local running club, Wymondham AC.

I recently completed my first marathon in London with a great time. When I’m not running, I enjoy working on my new barn conversion home, tackling various DIY projects with enthusiasm. I love taking on new challenges and giving things a go.

Choosing Acorn 2 Oak Care means you’ll receive the best care from a team that brings warmth and friendliness to their roles. Thank you for taking the time to read my profile, and I look forward to meeting you in the future.
